TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 Language Arts, ELD (ESL), Social Studies, Technology, Video Production, Media Analysis, Learning Skills

MY TEACHING STYLE

Balance is key! I try to find balance between tech and no-tech lessons and activities; whole-group, small group, and individual activities; mini lessons and big projects; and quiet learning and noisy learning. Always with a smile, and most of the time with lots of humor. My students and I use a lot of technology in my classroom-- in ways that actually improve learning and communication. There is an abundance of online resources available to teachers and students, and I am an expert user of several of them. I enjoy sharing new tools that encourage students to participate more and think critically.
