TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My experience includes teaching in both public and private schools in seven states all over the U.S.. These schools ranged from inner city to single family neighborhoods, from military bases to the second largest school district in the United States, from learning disability schools to gifted and talented schools. Children everywhere are eager to be successful. When we see them struggle, help them figure out the simplest or most complex problems, share in their pride of meeting that challenge and mastering it, we know we have made a difference in their lives. When they share that success with another student we know their future has changed. Making things easier for teachers by saving them time for planning has always been another goal of mine. So at my store you will see organizational materials as well. This store is about sharing success!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Students come to us with unique learning styles and it is our responsibility to find out how they learn effectively and efficiently. If we are fortunate, we have data that tells us what style has and has not worked in the past. Providing a rich environment of learning centers, project based activities, graphic organizers, fun games and task cards for student to practice grade level and accelerated standards can provide variety and opportunities which fit their learning. Parents of our students need resources to help at home. Classroom web pages can provide resources for them to download and use at home. So the store will have engaging resources useful to parents as well as teachers.
