This is my 9th year of teaching. I have taught 4th grade, 3rd grade, and 2nd grade (which is my favorite!)
I believe every child has the ability to learn, grow, and achieve. I set high expectations for my students to set them on the path for college. As a teacher, I believe in educating my students through hands-on and real life situations. I teach my students to be self motivated and to set goals for themselves and reflect on their learning. In addition to academics, my classroom fosters important life skills such as team work, responsibility, respect, and independence. My goal as a teacher is to show my students how to use the tools that they have acquired to sustain a life long love of learning.
Teacher of the Month September 2012
I graduated from CSB with a bachelor's in elementary education with a concentration in math. I hope to pursue my masters soon.
I have taught in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and most recently Indiana. I am so blessed to know so many wonderful teachers in so many places!
