I worked for the last five years teaching Core French at the secondary level in an independent school. Next year, I will be teaching grade 3/4 French Immersion in the Coquitlam School District.
I incorporate technology, 21st century skills, and Project-Based Learning. I encourage students to be curious, creative, and innovative while learning to solve problems, think critically, and practice effective communication skills. Some of the interdisciplinary projects that I have completed include a French restaurant with the Foods teacher, the Tour de France with a PE teacher, and MasterChef with the Video-Editing teacher.

After graduating high-school, I attended Trinity Western University where I received my Bachelor of Education. This summer, I finished 80% of my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with only two courses to go!
As French Department Head, I doubled the size of my French 12 class, growing it from 8 to 16 students. I accomplished this by building strong, positive relationships with my students and by developing engaging and authentic learning experiences. Having a lot of personal travel experience helps me find ways to make the content come alive in my classroom. I planned and led two educational trips to France, most recently taking a group of 16 students to Paris and Normandy for 10 days this past March.
