TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching Physical Education and Health at the high school level for over 13 years. Teaching certifications: Certified to teach Health, Physical Education, Driver Education, English, & Psychology. Certified personal trainer through The Cooper Institute Other professional certifications include: PiYo instructor, Turbokick, Zumba, STRIDE, and Horizontal Conditioning. Have attended over 100 - two hour professional national conventions on exercise and fitness Have been selected to present and speak at over 15 state and local conventions on program design and leading aerobics in a high school setting.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I truly try to lead by example. Most lessons require me to lead the activity, so I am always active when students are. This helps to motivate students to continue to do their best through the workout. I use a delicate balance of leading aerobics in front of the class to monitoring throughout the class.
