MY TEACHING STYLE

I strongly believe in relationship building as a place to begin in teaching. As a big proponent of attachment theory I emphasize a strong classroom community with active, safe participation. I like to challenge students to move into areas they feel less comfortable to optimize their personal growth. I enjoy a relaxed classroom atmosphere and a strong mutual respect between teacher and student. I enjoy seeing students lead discussions, teach others, group and pairs activities, seminar and workshop formats. I am not a sage on the stage!
