TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 3rd year teaching a variety of business courses at the High School level. I also taught one year at the Middle School level for an exploratory class. I have taught classes such as Desktop Publishing, Computer Applications, Business Law, E-Commerce/Web Design, International Business, and more.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to differentiate my instruction as much as possible, often allowing students to choose how they would like to present their information. Although I believe lecturing is important in some courses and at certain times, I try to incorporate as many real world activities and examples as possible.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am currently certified as Microsoft Office Specialist - Excel and Microsoft Office Specialist - Word. I am continually working on the other Microsoft Office Specialist certifications as well as Google certifications. Last year I was in charge of redesigning our department's curriculum and writing learning outcomes for all classes offered.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Illinois State University for four years and graduated with a degree in Business Teacher Education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I also love to cook and bake in my free time as well as snuggle up with my orange fluff ball cat, Moose.
