This is a fun way to introduce your students to the story, "The Bet." It takes an entire class period, but it allows the students to be creative and learn a little about the story before reading it. It has two requirements that must be meant in

I use these questions when students are reading a novel. I am not a fan of summarizing sections for every novel that we read in class. This gives students a chance to read for a different purpose.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I made the transition to teach at a later age in life, and I am currently in my 11th year of teaching. I wake each day loving what I do for a living. The students give me a drive to improve and succeed each day. Many changes are taking place in education, but the thing that stays the same is the needs of our students. They need that teacher that maintains expectations, encourages, adapts, and supports their growth as a student. A part of my love for education is the challenge that each new class brings each year.

MY TEACHING STYLE

After eleven years of teaching, I am still continuing to change and adapt my curriculum in my classroom. I respect my students, and I expect that in return. Overall, I am organized and strive to help my students stay organized. I teach bell-to-bell and ask my students to come to class each day prepared to learn.
