TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 26 years. I love the classroom!!!! I have taught K-5 ,RTI, college and dual-identified special education and ESL students. I have been fortunate to give numerous presentations within my district and conferences in Delaware and Puerto Rico. I also mentor and coach new ESL teachers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have an eclectic approach to teaching. I differentiate and implement kinesthetic and hands on strategies. I love to include music, games and "brain breaks" in my lessons. I also use Chromebooks and Smartboard to enhance teaching and provide skills practice. I use a balanced approach of direct teaching, practice, games and technology.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been awarded multiple teaching grants during my teaching career. I have been District Teacher of the Year twice - in Delaware and Puerto Rico.
