TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent 8 years teaching elementary, mixed-grade classes, and now I am a secondary English/Language Arts teacher. I teach at a school for the Deaf, so I specialize in visual and tactile learners. Differentiation is essential to my daily interactions with students!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended K-12 in the same building in farming community outside of Fargo, ND. I attended college in South Dakota and student taught in Minnesota before landing in Idaho for my first teaching job. I hold degrees in Elementary Education and Education of the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing. I am pursuing an interdisciplinary M.A. connecting bilingual education with gender studies and disability studies.
