I started working in an urban public school system in 2001 as a speech-language pathology assistant. After 4 years, I went back to obtain my master's degree. I have worked in early intervention, a suburban school system, and a private clinic. I finally returned to where I am most comfortable, working in a large urban system. I have been in my district for 8 years, working primarily with early childhood aged students. The past few years, the largest part of my caseload is with preschool/kindergarten children diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. I currently have three classrooms for children with Autism (about 30 kids). Here you'll find some of the books/activities that I use with these children and have found the most success using. Everything is a work in progress!
Firm, with set expectations and limits, but with lots of love!!
