I have spent my sixteen years of teaching all in the upper grades, with different populations of students. I spent a year working with Gifted students, several in a heterogeneous grouping, co-taught with a Special Education teacher, and finally spent the bulk of my teaching working with a classroom of very diverse learners at the middle school level. Some were reading more than 3 grade levels below, some received services, but others did not. I found myself creating bilingual materials to meet the needs of my growing number of EL students. I have spent many years working as the advisor for our school newspaper, and am the co-director for the musical! I just started teaching a STEM class, so you can look forward to materials coming soon from my experiences moving forward with creating a new curriculum! Whew!
