I was a special education (SPED) classroom teacher for 11 years at DC Public Schools (DCPS) and was a SPED Coordinator for 3 of those years. I taught IEP students with different disabilities in various settings including a self-contained autism classroom, a segregated school for those with emotional disturbance, a resource class for pre-k to 5th grade students and inclusion classroom in high school. I also taught in blended learning class set-ups for ELL students. In short, learned what both students and teachers through experience and trial-and-error. My store is a collection of what worked in the various classrooms I served.
