I spent 6 years homeschooling my 4 children, and taught a wide range of classes for all grade levels at our homeschool co-op, before making the decision to send the kids to school. My experience, both in homeschooling and turning over the reins of teaching to another, has given me an appreciation for teachers everywhere. In addition, having 2 children that deal with learning difficulties has opened my eyes to the challenges that these kids and teachers face in the struggle to learn. It has now become my passion, which is why I am here.
Hands-on, engaging and real life application is at the heart of how I teach.

I am a graphic designer/illustrator who graduated from an art college in 2001. It is my goal to use these skills to make fun and engaging posters, games and other activities.
I have a soft spot in my heart for children who struggle with learning difficulties and I believe they can learn - we just have to find the right key to unlock it. I have spent hours upon hours (and many sleepless nights) trying to find these very "keys" to help my children (and others). It is my desire to create projects that can help/assist/guide them through various school subjects in a colorful and well-designed manner.
