I have several years under my belt teaching high school French, levels 1-5, as well as some wonderful quality time in a classroom of junior high students with special needs, fairly high functioning. I love every minute of being in a classroom!
I believe in a disciplinary/pedagogical technique where I change activities every 8-10 minutes for each of my 90 minute classes. I teach French in all areas: listening, reading, writing, speaking, and culture.
Numerous Undergraduate Awards including, but not limited to: President's Honors for GPA, President of the French Club, President of the Foreign Language Club, Member of NEA, etc.
Graduated with High Honors from Elmhurst College in Illinois for Undergraduate (B.S. in French and Secondary Education). Near completion of Master's Degree in Adult Education and Training.
I was actually a Music Education major for four years in college, majoring in piano but also playing clarinet, flute, and saxophone. This is the reason I incorporate a LOT of mnemonic devices, musically, in my classroom.
