TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Creative Writing & Public Speaking Consultant - Specializing in Creative Development Mentorships, Literacy and Multimedia Storytelling -- Published Author, professional songwriter & slam poet. Creative Director for Tribe of One, a national collective of Indigenous & Settler artists, musicians, dancers and slam poets. I teach slam poetry, songwriting and video production to thousands of students in schools across Canada each year, and produce my best material into courses and resources for fellow educators.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Slam Poetry is a very collaborative. Lessons start with group interaction and lead into individual writing followed by students performing (slamming) their poetry in front of the class.

I've produced many albums, including a slam poetry project featuring Janet Rogers, Victoria's Poet Laureate. I've work in TV/Film, produced travel videos from around the world and am the author of Four Homeless Millionaires - How One Family Found Riches By Leaving Everything Behind I've used these experiences to produce creative courses and resources to help educators engage and empower their students.
