I am a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 20+ years of experience teaching in an elementary school and also private practice for preschoolers. Just recently I have begun focusing my time on creating learning packets for the Journeys Common Core ELA stories that I have been using with my special education students. This gives my students in the upper elementary grades more practice with their ELA stories and also fits nicely into their IEP goals.
I give my students lots and lots of practice to help them reach mastery or as close to mastery as possible. I teach with humor and concern for the learning of each of my students. I believe in the teachings of Harry Wong's First Day of School practices by teaching procedures and routines for all my groups.
I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech & Language Pathology and I am a licensed in the state of New York to provide services to a wide range of the population.
I have a Associates degree from Tunxis Community College, Bachelors degree from SUNY Plattsburgh, and a Masters degree in Speech & Language Pathology also from SUNY Plattsburgh..
I have been a volunteer for Make-A-Wish for many years and truly enjoy helping others in this aspect of my life.
