I have been a Speech/Language Pathologist for over 12 years working with ages from birth to geriatrics. My current surrounding is working with 6th-8th graders who can navigate the world of technology faster than I could ever have believed. I have had the pleasure of learning from individuals with Autism, cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, Non-verbal learning disabilities, cognitive impairments and learning disabilities. Organization, clear cut simple directions, visual supports, and variety keep my students, patients, and me interested in therapy. It is always better when we can have fun learning!
Whatever works best for the individual and visuals, visuals, visuals. I use many behavioral supports to focus on positive behavior reinforcement and predictability in the classroom and therapy room. It is important to relate activities to individuals areas of interest and maintain variety and enthusiasm in what I do.

I am lucky to have a wonderful and supportive family. My son wants everything that I make! My daughter is busy taking my hair accessories so she can be a princess! I am just in the middle being the best I can be.
