Elementary Special Education Teacher
Learning should be an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Students learn phenomenally more when they are active participants in the lessons provided, rather than passive observers. I believe that students should be engaged in learning at all times. By using a multi-sensory approach and a differentiated curriculum, I provide material that is interesting, developmentally appropriate, and conducive to learning. Since I teach special education, I use a lot of small group instruction. I encourage the students to be collaborative and take ownership of everything we are doing.
