I have had over 29 years of experience as an elementary educator with the Department of Defense (United Kingdom), Kansas, Arizona, and Texas. Over half of my teaching experience has been spent in Curriculum and Instruction as a coach in elementary mathematics. I am recently retired and now have time to focus on my "creative" side in education!
My teaching style has always been about student-centered learning. I have always believed that students learn best through hands-on experiences that promote higher-level questioning and build strong problem-solving skills. My goal has always been about students being engaged and accountable for their learning.
