I have earned my P-4 Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Arkansas. While working on my Master's, I did a full-year internship working with 1st grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and preschool. I have also worked in an IB school and taught in Peru. I finished my Master's in Teaching in May of 2017. I currently teach 6th grade science and social studies in Arkansas!

Project-based learning with technology infused everywhere. I teach corss-curricular in many things I do. I use a lot of color, art, and creativity to promote memory. We cross the mid-line, we work collaboratively, and we build things. We also practice traditional tests and work on our speaking skills with presentations. In my classroom, no idea is every wrong!

Marsha Coleman Novice Teacher Award for Social Studies (2017-2018)

Graduated from Pea Ridge High School 2012 University of Arkansas (Bachelor's) 2016 University of Arkansas (Master's) 2017

I love working with my students on projects. I love to give students an assignment and let their own creativity take over and be shown in their final product. We use a lot of technology in my classroom, including a digital gradebook! We celebrate successes and learn from failures through the growth mindset. I challenge my students will high expectations that never yield. I believe all students can learn, and this is shown in my teaching style. In my free time, I enjoy painting, crafting, and cooking. I also enjoy fishing, riding bikes, and hiking. I love to look at the stars, study viruses, and learn anything science-related! Thanks for visiting!
