MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am the first of my family to attend college. Originally, I wanted to be a teacher since the third grade, when a teacher embarrassed me. I was set on becoming a better teacher then the one who embarrassed me in front of the class for using the clock to do math. Later I realized I could be an art teacher. My family has always encouraged my art skills. I attended Millersville University, where one of my high school art teachers attended. About my second year, Professor Robert Nelson had influenced me and I graduated with a Fine Arts Degree. Life circumstances brought me back to achieveing my certification at Millersville University. While teaching in Dorchester, MD I worked online with Walden University and received my Master's Degree in Education. I currently have my Masters plus 60 credits. I attended many summer workshop classes offered at McDaniel University through a program called Common Ground on the Hill. These classes have continued my joy of art making and broadening my perspective about relationships among diverse people through history and current day.
