I have been a teacher both in Florida and in Tennessee. During my long career, I have taught grades 5 - 12, both in college bound settings and in rural areas. I have worked with slow learners and with the most advanced. I love what I do, and most of my students have said they have learned much from me.
I want my students to feel comfortable but challenged in all the courses I teach. I push my students to achieve excellence, regardless of the course title. I, however, do want to have fun and I try to foster interaction. I care about every student who sits in my classroom and I want to give each of them skills that lead to success in life. Many of those skills lie beyond the curriculum. I give 110% and want my students to do the same. I enjoy seeing the citizens they become. Many stay in touch and come back to see me.

I have taught at Tallahassee Leon High School, Winter Park Florida High School, and Munford TN High School. I am married and have a grown son and daughter, both of whom are married. Our son and his wife have given us three handsome grandsons, and our daughter has two beautiful girls and a precious boy. I love to travel, and my church and my family are my life. I love teaching, but I am loving retirement as well. The art you see in my posters is my daughter's; I have used it to create what I hope is a beautiful missing link in secondary/higher educational settings, be they classrooms, libraries, or homes. These prints are lovely when framed.
