TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hi! My name is Rhonda Osisek M.S., CCC-SLP and I am a certified speech-language pathologist and the owner and director of SOCIAL LEARNING, LLC. I am the creator of The Social Butterflies Club(R) Social Skills Program. My program started in 2004 with a charming young man with HFA. He was having great difficulty on the playground and interacting with peers but he was above average in academics. Therefore, he did not qualify for services in the schools. I had to get creative, and that is when the Social Butterflies Club was born! Unfortunately, there was not a lot of materials or guidance with social communication in 2004. I ended up creating most of my own materials. Over the years I have fine-tuned my program and now run 4-6 groups 5 days a week. I have found that social communication is my passion and I love to share it with my colleagues! Although I train professionals across the country in The Social Butterflies Club program and provide consultation for school systems implementing social skill programs, I still enjoy making my own materials. After requests over the years, I have trademarked and copyrighted my materials and now can share with all of you! I hope you find them useful for your groups and clients. Previous Experience: I was owner/director of Atlantic Speech therapy, LLC for 10 years. Prior to that, I was director of Speech-Language Pathology at Shore Memorial Hospital and a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Virginia Beach City Public Schools. I have a special interest in working with children with social communication disorders, developmental delays, and those within the autism spectrum.
