TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Melissa Becker is a 12th grade social studies teacher and Department Chair at Warren Area High School for the Warren County School District in Warren, PA. She fully engages her learners by having them take ownership in the learning process.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Melissa’s classroom has no walls as her students attend Government Outreach, Law Day, and work the general and primary elections in the county. Her passion, encouragement, and dedication fosters her students and prepares them for life-long learning. She supplements her American Government Class with the study of Justice Robert H. Jackson’s biography so that Warren County will not only be known as the birthplace of Justice Jackson, but where the study of his life will be reborn each year.
