I have been teaching middle school social studies for two years.
I enjoy teaching using simulations and experiential lessons. I believe students learn better when they are more involved in the lesson, rather than just sitting and listening or reading and filling out a worksheet.

I am a recent graduate from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. I have a degree in History and Secondary Education.
I have been in Virginia all my life. I grew up outside of Washington D.C. in Fairfax County. I went to college in Central Virginia and now I am back teaching outside of Washington D.C. in Arlington County. I have seen the opposites of education; urban schools and rural schools. I believe my background gives me a rich perspective when it comes to lesson planning.
