TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a 5th grade science teacher in Texas. This will be my 10th year of teaching science at the 5th grade level. I truly enjoy my work and the experience of making a difference in my students lives. I will graduate with a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction-Science Education k-12 from the University of Texas at Arlington in the spring of 2018.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Being passionate about science in my private life as well as my professional life allows me to awaken curiosity in my students. My private research and drive for the answers to the questions about our universe fuels me. I am able to take my students on incredible journeys through the cosmos because I have a working knowledge of current events in science. Students are excited about seeing the true world around them, whether it's images of the Sun in real time, tracking asteroids or comets, my students are engaged.
