TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Before becoming a wife and a mom, I taught for three years in grades 5th through 8th. Once my girls were of school age, I taught Kindergarten for five years, 1st grade for three years, and this is my first year teaching 6th grade ELA. I love the challenge of creating materials for my classroom using free and inexpensive materials ...I'm all about creating "somethin' outta nothin'!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am passionate about 'growing' my students in a way that they 'discover' what I want them to learn. Not only are they more engaged, but they feel responsible for their own success.
