How many times have you had to teach /r/ in speech therapy? For me, this has been the most frequent and challenging sound to teach. It's caused me to do a lot of research until now I feel confident in teaching /r/! I have put together the program I

Don't we love going through students' IEP permanent files each year? I actually do! But I needed a way to keep track of what was in a file and what was missing so I didn't have to re-learn that every year when I went through the same files. So I

This form is to use to easily assess articulation precision in reading and to track progress. It can be done in less than 10 minutes and it is something I use with every one of my students that can read before I exit them from speech. It gives a lot

This is the very first form I fill out every year! This gives me all the information I need throughout the school year when it comes to contacting parents, scoring tests (based on date of birth), knowing service time and goals, etc. I would be lost

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked for 8 years in the public schools, including charter schools. I have also done private therapy. I currently co-own a speech therapy business, where I contract out services to charter schools.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love speech therapy! I love being efficient while giving the best quality of services. I am a big advocate of homework and parent training. I have seen amazing results when students do as little as 5 minutes a day of speech homework multiple times a week. I also have seen even more amazing results when I have trained parents to do speech therapy and help their child practice their skills at home. These students' progress has been quick and off the charts! I also am a big-time nut with paperwork. I love to be organized and to make sure my files are in compliance!
