I'm Julie, founder of Soul Sparklettes Art, the Sparkleschooling Facebook Community, and The Glitter Bomb Art Curriculum. I'm a veteran homeschooler, a writer, and have a Masters in Behavior Analysis, where I worked with kids on the spectrum. I've taught art through community education, our local library, in person, and virtually to Preschool - 6th grade students, to my own two children, and to adults. I've also taught psychology through Western Michigan University, and martial arts through a local dojo.
I believe that art is a bridge to learning all subjects, so my lessons are cross-curricular, and I also include extensions in every bundle of The Glitter Bomb in history, geography, science, and language arts. I believe that all children can be made to feel confident with lessons at are engaging, and leave plenty of room for their own artistic stamp. My lessons teach the elements and principles, are aligned to standards, and most importantly, have been kid-approved. I also believe that lessons should be easy to adjust to different mediums, and I include differentiation to do with multiple ages, or to scale up or down for different grade levels if you would like to do the same lesson.

I live in southwest Michigan with my husband and my two daughters (my Sparklettes). I can be found writing, reading, hiking, playing tennis, traveling the world, and enjoying a wonderful espresso at local coffee houses.
