K-2 special education; autism
I teach kindergarten, first, and second grade students on the autism spectrum. Learning in my classroom is hands on and visual. My classroom model allows me to have a small class size in order to personalize and modify activities for the needs of each of my students.
2014-2015 runner up for Teacher of the Year
I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Kennesaw State University and a master's degree in teaching and learning from Georgia Southern University.
I have been teaching a small group special education class for 4 years (autism to be specific). I love working with my students and creating resources to help them to be successful academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is to educate the whole child and to give them the experiences and tools necessary to thrive in an unpredictable world.
