Currently, I teach World Literature, American Literature, and AP Language and Composition at a private school in Georgia. I have prior experience teaching middle school math and language arts in grades 6-8, as well as in elementary grades 1, 4, and 5.
I incorporate more student-led learning opportunities over traditional lecture. Students also engage in group discussions and Socratic meetings on a regular basis. When teaching math, I employ hands-on activities and standards-based learning.
STAR Teacher 2017 and 2018
I hold a Bachelor's degree from North Georgia College and State University in Secondary English Education and an earned Master's degree in Education with a Math Endorsement from Mercer University. I have Georgia Certification in grades 6-12 English/Language Arts, grades 4-8 Math, and K-5 Early Childhood Education.
I am happily married to a wonderful woman. We have two sons.
