By SpaceCoreKids SpaceCore was created by Rachel McDonough and Damon Meade. Rachel's career as a Primary School Educator for six years and Damon's background in screenwriting, filmmaking and animating were the two seeds from which the concept grew from. With her enthusiasm for education and his love of storytelling and world building, they have created a an exciting show that features a cast of characters that boasts a diverse representation of ethnicities and abilities. I started my teaching experience with kindergartners, but for the last three years I have found my passion with first grade. I work in a lower socially economical school that has a high transient rate and low success rate. Over the last few years we have identified strengths and deficits within our students and have increased the rate of passing scores on their standardized tests. I want to bring my knowledge and experience to TeachersPayTeachers, helping other educators that are struggling in similar environments. My classroom is diverse in levels of learners. We have children diagnosed ASD, ADHD, and ODD, learning next to students who are academically gifted.
