I have been a high school English and Spanish teacher for more than fifteen years at two different academic magnet schools. For several years, I also helped coordinate our gifted program. I have taught every level of Spanish, from Introductory to AP.

After college I did a year volunteer program in Wilmington, Delaware with FVM (Franciscan Volunteer Ministry) and taught ESL to Spanish-speaking immigrants (and GED skills to women in prison). That experience still informs my work, as I try to reach ALL students while keeping academic standards high!
