TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching high school English in the Greater Toronto Area for 5 years. Grades 9-12. My favourite units and texts of study (that you will find in my store) are: Macbeth, The Crucible, Frankenstein, Twelfth Night, Lord of the Flies, Speak

MY TEACHING STYLE

For senior level English classes I like to focus on level of depth and analysis in written and oral works. I expect students to select ideas that are not obvious and require more critical insight. I create assignments, lesson plans, and resources that attempt to force students to think more critically. I always use technology in the classroom and am always open for classroom debates and dialogue. I use presentation assignments to allow students to master the art of persuasion.
