I have been a Speech Language Pathologist in schools for over 20 years..Where did that time go? I currently work in a Developmental Preschool Program, in a high needs school. I serve my little friends in their classrooms, and love every minute of it. When I'm not in school I am working on my photography business.
My teaching style is.. high energy, silly and fun. If my 3 to 5 year olds aren't engaged in an activity, they won't be learning. And I need them to be hands on in with me, so we can work on improving their communication skills.
I don't know that this would be considered to be an honor or an award, but in addition to being nationally certified as an SLP, I am also a National Board Certified teacher in Exceptional Needs.
Undergraduate degree from San Diego State University, and Master's degree from Emerson College.
