I am a speech language pathologist who has worked in the public schools, as well as private practice.
It is my belief that each child is a natural and curious learner, and will develop and thrive (toward their full potential) through quality and purposeful child-directed, therapy activities within a carefully structured therapy environment. I believe in using developmentally appropriate materials and an evidence based practice approach, as well as considering each child’s interests and developmental needs. The child’s natural curiosity, and freedom to follow his or her interests within the limits established by the therapist, allow for greater child engagement, focused attention, responsibility and concentration.
