Special Ed Pro

I have loved working in Special Education for 30+ years. I've taught grades K-12 in a resource specialist program or special day class. My students have had a variety of disabilities including autism, learning disabilities, intellectually disabilities, emotional disturbance, and more. Most recently I have worked at a diverse elementary school on the California Coast.I also work with many students who are English Language Learners.

Language arts is a favorite subject to teach in the resource room, and in collaboration in the general education classroom. Many of my students are English Language Learners, so I try to teach using many modalities with lots of language enrichment.

I have a Special Education Credential. I also have a Resource Specialist Certificate and SDAIE/ELD Certificate.

Mom of 4, living on the coast of California....I have worked most recently at a fabulous elementary school with a diverse student poplulation and students with varying special needs. Before that I have worked with high school special education students, and as a program specialist.
