TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Currently I work as a special education teacher where I have a self-contained classroom for students with ASD. I have also worked in many other classes and have experience in 2nd grade, 4th/5th resource, head start, preschool, middle school resource room, and high school self contained class. In addition, I taught at a middle school in Germany on a military base through the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).

MY TEACHING STYLE

It is my belief that every child can succeed when given the tools and supports that they need. I help students to succeed by personalizing their learning experience to suit their individual learning styles.

I attended Western Michigan University where I earned a Bachelor in Special Education with focuses in Learning Disabilities, Cognitive Impairments, Early Childhood Education, and Language Arts. I then went back and earned my Masters in Special Education with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder.
