TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught second, third and fourth grades for the past three years in Virginia. I will soon be teaching eighth grade Pre-Algebra, Physical Science, U.S. History and English.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I absolutely love tapping into the learning styles of all students through the use of interactive notebooks, organizers and activities that are engaging! I am always searching for new ideas and strategies that present academic and behavioral concepts to my students in unique opportunities.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Do military honors and awards count??

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and from Regent University in 2012 with a Masters Degree in Special Education. I am currently completing a program for the Reading Specialist endorsement at Regent University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Originally from Hatboro, Pennsylvania, I found my heart in Virginia after serving seven years in the Navy as a Military Police Officer. I met my wonderful husband and together we have two beautiful children. I have taught second, third and fourth grade students with disabilities (Autism, Emotional Disabilities, Learning Disabilities). I recently accepted a transfer to a fabulous middle school where I will be teaching eighth grade students with disabilities.
