I am a special educator with 6 years experience in inclusion, co-taught, and resource room settings in both charter and public schools. I am highly involved in the Autism community through attendance at conferences and participation in Autism Speaks Cleveland.
I know that every child can be successful, as long as they are given the tools to do so! I believe that hands-on, relevant activities and resources provide each student with independence and success in their personal learning journey. My classroom is highly individualized, sensory friendly, and welcoming to all learners. I pride myself in creating a caring environment where all students feel successful.
Yet to be added
In 2009, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mild/Moderate Educational Needs from Baldwin-Wallace College with a minor in English: Writing. In 2014, I earned a Master in Education from Tiffin University. I am also reading endorsed and hold a Wilson Language certification.
I live near Cleveland, Ohio with my husband and 2 cats. When I'm not living my dream as a special education teacher, I enjoy traveling, exploring the city, trying new foods, being active, reading, being with family and friends, and spending as much time as possible with my niece and nephews. I think a warm cup of tea can solve almost any problem! Banner courtesy of: © 2013 The 3AM Teacher http://the3amteacher.blogspot.com/
