I have 10 years experience as a special education teacher. I have taught students with Autism, ADHD, Emotional Disturbances, Learning Disabilities, and Downs Syndrome.
I believe in teaching the whole child. I believe in a hands-on approach to learning. Students with disabilities need many opportunities to attain their goals. It's important to celebrate the small successes because small successes turn into big changes.
I have been recognized as my school's Reading Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year.
I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from James Madison University.
I am a wife to a very loving husband and mother to an energetic toddler!
