I have experience working with programming AAC devices for non-verbal individuals with a wide range of disabilities across the lifespan. I also have experience assessing and treating pragmatic, language and speech disorders with children on the autism spectrum. My mom has 30 years of working as an early childhood instructor and working collaboratively with skilled service providers.
Our teaching style is hands-on and play-based. We both have a passion for young children, and we encourage creativity and the love of learning.

Me: I graduated with my Bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Bowling Green State University. I am currently in my final year of the graduate program at the University of Akron. I am finding how time consuming it is to make creative materials for the various populations of clients I am working with. I hope to share my materials and contribute to fun, successful therapy sessions for speech pathologists all around! Mom: Mom also received her Bachelors Degree at Bowling Green State University and her Masters at the University of Akron... Guess great minds think alike! Her area of expertise and degrees are in the field of early childhood education. She has been working for 34 years and will be retiring after next school year. She offered to help me create fun, engaging activities since she will have the time to do so once she retires. Thanks, Mom!
Hello, speechies! My mom and I have created a TPT account to make your lives easier. Busy speech-language pathologists do not have the time to devote their lives to creative therapy materials... there's just not enough time in a day! With my speech-language pathology background, and my mother's 30 years of working with young children as an early childhood teacher, we wanted to share our resources and make your life easier. My experience and love of working with children on the autism spectrum has allowed me to change my way of thinking to create and adapt materials for various types of learners. We hope you enjoy these simple and fun activities as much as we do!
