I am a school based speech therapist with 15 years of experience. I have worked with Early Childhood Intervention, outpatient pediatrics, children with hearing impairments, bilingual ( Spanish speaking students), and love to work with children ! When I worked in Cartagena, Colombia, I realized how much I love working with children from other cultures and a variety of backgrounds.
My style is playful, imaginative, hands on, and interactive. There is flexibility within structure. Building relationships with children and their parents and learning from other great therapists and teachers are top priorities.
I was honored to be chosen to present at Texas Speech/Hearing Association Convention in Feb. 2017. My talk is Keep Calm and Carryover On.
I hold a BA from West Texas A & M University in Elementary Education ( reading, kindergarten, deaf education,ESL certifications) I hold an MA in Communication Disorders from Texas Woman's University. I hold a Clinical Competency Certificate.
I am the proud mom of a playful border collie named Sky and two adorable ( mostly) teenagers who serve as my technical support team. I love baking cookies, walking, reading, music, and exploring new places.
