I worked as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant 1 year part time at a school. The next two years, as a Speech Language Pathologist - Intern and then fully licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a case load of approximately 40 students including response to intervention, self-contained, resource, and speech only. Then within a coop as a Speech Language Pathologist Supervisor for 6 districts, 1 SLP-Intern, 2 SLP-Assistants, and on-site for a SLP-Graduate student for a caseload of 160 students. The last 2 years, overseeing a school contract as either the direct therapist or the supervisor for a SLP- intern. I helped implement response to intervention for speech/language, was part of a behavioral intervention pilot study, assisted with self-contained classrooms, assisted with development of individualized education plans including behavior intervention plans and accommodations/modifications. I was on the autism team for 3 years, which consisted of an educational diagnostician, occupational therapist, school psychologist, and myself (SLP). While supervising at the school, I also did home health 2 days after school for a year. I worked a pediatric outpatient clinic for 3 years; 2 of those years we had a school contract. I have worked a total of 2 years with pediatric home health. I am now a stay at home mom with my 2 boys and plan to develop more products for TPT this year! I LOOOOVE being an SLP! But even bigger than that, I am a wife, a mama, daughter, and friend. Thank you TPT for allowing me family time while helping others!
