I am a fully licensed SLP practicing in the schools (licensed through the Missouri State Board for the Healing Arts and hold Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA). I have experience at elementary placements as well as high schools placements. I have assessed an treated a broad array of communication disorders thus far, including disorders in articulation/phonology, language, voice, social skills/pragmatic language, and conditions resulting from traumatic brain injury. I am a lifelong learner and thoroughly enjoy going above and beyond on my continuing education to better serve my clients/students and also work towards educating the public about speech language pathology!
I am adept at one-on-one therapy sessions, as well as small groups (2-3 students) and language push-in lessons (typically 5-6 students in a functional setting).

Tess Hackney, M.S., CCC-SLP holds a bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Central Missouri and was distinguished as Magna Cum Laude upon receiving her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Central Missouri.
I am so honored to work as a full-time SLP in the community where I grew up. I live with my husband, Justin, son, Desmond, and our two pets, Lupita the chihuahua and Pippin the guinea pig. One of our favorite family activities is (you guessed it) a trip to the zoo!
