I have been a speech-language pathologist for 5 years. I have worked in the public school system for all 5 years. I have worked in North Carolina, Tennessee, Alaska, and Florida.
While I'm not a teacher, my "therapy" style is very playful and engaging. I think it is important to capture your student's attention while having fun and having discipline at the same time. I want my students to have fun while learning, and I want to have fun as well! I believe this mentality helps me to not get burnt out and makes me want to go to work everyday. I love helping students and I wouldn't trade this position for anything in the world.
I attended Appalachian State University for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I earned my Bachelor's degree in 2009 and finished my Master's degree in 2011.
I am a travel Speech-Language Pathologist. I have worked in North Carolina (where I am originally from), Nashville, TN, Anchorage, AK, and now I'm living in Fort Myers, FL. I love traveling and seeing new places... but traveling with huge games, and notebooks, and those large bulky items can be tough. So I decided to start making some things that were more travel friendly... portable, if you will. As any other speech therapist knows, we have No extra time in the day, so I have tried to create items that do not require a lot of "making." I love the idea of print, laminate, and use. So I hope you find the simplicity as attractive as I do!!
