TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As an ESE teacher for over 16 years in Florida, I taught primarily grades K-5, children on the Autism Spectrum. I left the classroom in 2016 but continued working with home school families and continued teaching children's yoga in preschools, libraries, and in homes. In Fall of 2017, my husband and I began the full-time RV lifestyle. We travel across the US for his consulting and training business. I continue to develop TPT products to help children self-regulate and deal with those "BIG" feelings, increase focus, and calm the body and mind. I teach kids yoga classes when I'm back in FL and am looking to take my knowledge and passion of mindfulness and social skills right to teachers as a teacher in-service.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My multi-grade VE classroom was always diverse, with students from a variety of backgrounds and language needs due to ELL and language impairments as well as ASD and other varying exceptionalities. I always incorporated visuals, structure, social skills, language and a literature rich, hands-on learning and technology environment to reach students in a variety of ways. I also incorporated the students' personal interests as much as possible, especially in research and writing projects.
