TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been in education for 22 years and I cannot imagine a more rewarding career. I have taught 1st-5th grade and now serve as an instructional specialist. I have the best job in the world! I love collaborating with other amazing teachers and watching students grow as mathematicians.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that all children can learn – at different rates and times. For me, this means that children are individuals and need to be taught and guided in a variety of ways. Therefore, I continually explore ways to make learning engaging and meaningful while meeting the standards.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I cannot think of a bigger honor than making a difference in the lives of children. Being called a “teacher” is truly a privilege!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I believe that as an educator, you never stop learning! I continue to grow as a professional through Master’s coursework, webinars, conferences and workshops.

When I am not teaching or creating educational resources, I enjoy reading {math books, of course!}, crafting, baking and spending time with my family. I'd love to connect with you! Instagram Pinterest
