TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a private freelance tutor, working in Montgomery County, MD and Washington, DC. I am trained by the Lab School of Washington. I primarily tutor elementary and middle school students with learning differences, including dysgraphia, dyslexia, ADHD, and mild autism spectrum disorders. In 2012, my wife and I founded Square Peg Tutoring. We are freelance tutors, providing services to children in both public and private schools in the DC metropolitan area.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Providing individualized tutoring gives me the opportunity to determine a child's learning style and to use his/her natural strengths to build confidence and address academic challenges. In the process of addressing the needs of visual and kinesthetic learners, I have designed a variety of multisensory learning materials that I use regularly when tutoring.
